The role The CTO will function as the digital business leader and business enabler, along with managing IT operations and providing leadership, expertise, and support across the enterprise. This role will develop, plan, and implement the information technology strategy that will make the technical vison a reality to meet business needs, as well as deliver optimal ROI and maintain security. Key accountabilities Works closely with senior IT management to ensure successful roadmap development and IT portfolio management Provides analysis, management information (MI) and reports to the executive team to ensure effective decision-making including understanding of risks. Monitors return on investment on IT activity to ensure a positive return. Inputs to and translates organization vision and IT Divisional/Functional strategy into operational deliverables and provides tactical leadership and support to managers to achieve positive results for the business in line with strategy Collaborates with members of the IT Senior Leadership Team and Aspen business leaders to identify ways IT can assist the company in achieving business and financial goals. Identifies new Information System (IS) developments and technologies; anticipates resulting organizational modifications. Ensures that IT and network infrastructure adequately support the company's computing, data processing, and communications needs. Help develop and implement the IT budget. Establishes long term IS needs/plans and develop strategies for developing systems and acquiring software and hardware to meet those needs. Establishes policies and principles ensuring compliance with government regulations that apply to systems operations in all jurisdictions we operate in. Develops the technology team and lead efficient operations of the team so that prompt modernization and upgrades are performed as needed. Maintain oversight of the design, development, and implementation of software programs, projects, and assignments will be key responsibilities. years of relevant IT experience Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Significant experience in administration of information systems and technology, with increasing level of responsibility throughout. Good knowledge of ITIL Service Delivery processes (preferably with formal certification) Thorough understanding of information technology systems including but not limited to:
knowledge of back-end technologies, knowledge of front-end technologies, cloud platform, Microsoft Azure. Extensive knowledge of coding languages and systems. Deep understanding of the architecture discipline, processes, concepts and best practices. Strong leadership skills Finance management - including budget management, forecasting and cost analysis. Business and financial awareness of the impact of Service Levels and any associated failures Experience in the insurance/financial services industry, preferred

$250K -- $500K+
