This is a Hybrid position and requires two days per week onsite at the Corporate Business Office in Rocky Hill, CT.

The RCM- Business Analyst is responsible to for researching, updating and maintaining payer policies and guidelines affecting revenue cycle.
Essential duties and
Responsibilities:
Research and identify changes in medical and reimbursement policies for existing and prospective services/products.
Navigate through payer websites, portals, newsletters, and other applicable avenues to identify changes in healthcare affecting revenue cycle.
Maintain and create new payer guideline policies and documents for internal and external use.
Create and upkeep of billing grids to assist divisions in billing per carrier policy.
Communicate proactively with members of the revenue cycle team and external customers on changes that affect procedures and existing policies.
Advise the revenue cycle management team on emerging trends and methodologies, payer relations and other shifting payer reimbursement trends to facilitate ongoing compliance with payer requirements.
Act as a resource, to understand the payer and reimbursement relationships that affect our revenue cycle business performance.
Maintain knowledge of services provided and insurance requirements for new and emerging procedures and medical technology with the assistance of other internal departments.
Participate in monthly/quarterly payer meetings, in-services, education and training to address and resolve issues by overseeing meetings and agenda items with assigned payer representatives.
Perform payment analysis of major carriers via pre-determined schedule as well as when new contracts are put in place.
Additionally perform payment analysis of new providers to ensure accuracy of payment schedules with major payers.
Produce memos and newsletters based on applicable research findings, changes in policies, etc.
to educate divisions and other internal departments.
Skills/qualifications/
Experience:
High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
Previous health care environment experience of four (4) years, preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD-10, required Ability to work independently, communicate proactively, manage multiple projects and prioritize daily tasks while managing critical deadlines.
Ability to develop and utilize cross-functional relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals and objectives.
Excellent overall oral and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills within all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel.
Demonstrated knowledge base and experience with third party reimbursement.
