The Associate Director of Network Contracting develops the provider network yielding a geographically competitive, broad access, stable network that achieves objectives for unit cost performance and trend management, and produces an affordable and predictable product for customers and business partners. Associate Directors of Network Contracting evaluate and negotiate contracts in compliance with company contract templates, reimbursement structure standards, and other key process controls. Responsibilities also include establishing and maintaining strong business relationships with providers and ensuring the network composition includes an appropriate distribution of provider specialties.
Connecticut will add new Skilled Nursing Facilities for the ISNP (Evercare)program this year. This position leads a small team of Provider Relations Advocates assigned to the Connecticut market. The open position will ensure the network strategy develops, contracts are executed, incentive plans are rolled out to drive quality and efficiency, and will drive strong relationships with providers.
- In this role you will be expected to:
- Own an end to end process.
- Develop functional, market level, and/or site strategy, plans, production and/or organizational priorities.
- Apply network configuration and incentive-based payment models as appropriate.
- Identify and resolve technical, operational and organizational problems.
- Product, service or process decisions are most likely to impact entire functions and/or customer accounts.
-Individual must be goal oriented and self directed.
-Position requires strong relationship and organization skills.
-Position is located in the Rocky Hill, CT. office.
Requirements Requirements:
- 4
years experience in a network management-related role with accountability for business results.
- 2
years experience in the development of product pricing and utilizing financial modeling in making rate decisions.
- Expert level of knowledge of Medicare reimbursement methodologies such as Resource Based Relative Value System (RBRVS), DRGs, Ambulatory Surgery Center Groupers, etc.

years experience in the analysis of data.
-Strong proficiency with MS Excel.
Assets/Desired:
- 2
years experience managing a medical cost and administrative budget
- 2
years experience with provider contracting.
- Familiarity with SNF and LTC; preferably in the state of Connecticut.
- 2
years of supervisory experience.
- Experience with UHG NDB and/or Emptoris.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain payment methodology to providers.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to build strong relationships both internally and with providers.
