Tax Manager I

The State and Local Tax Manager I is responsible for all compliance, audits, projects and research for North American property taxes. This position is also responsible for assisting the Senior State and Local Tax Manager with U.S. state and local sales and use taxes, Canadian VAT taxes, Puerto Rican sales tax and use taxes, and occupational and other gross receipts taxes.
What we offer (Job Duties):
Manage and/or assist with all North American property and transaction tax compliance.
Manage and/or assist with all property & transaction tax audits including protests, appeals, litigation and settlements.
Conduct reviews of the G/L, business activities and transactions to determine proper tax treatment.
Manage and/or assist with special projects, including research and planning projects, and acquisitions.
Who we are looking for:
BS / BA in Accounting or related field required.
Knowledge of multi-state sales & use and property tax law.
Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint) with knowledge of SAP and Vertex O Series a plus.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
