HR Generalist

HR Generalist job in Rocky Hill CT HR Generalist to support the Global HR Director in providing a broad range of HR services.
Based in the US Head office in Rocky Hill,CT, this role would ideally suit someone who is a self-starter, flexible and keen to contribute to the development of an emerging global high tech company.
The company has employees in nine countries and this role will be responsible for the US dispersed team as well as contributing to, updating and implementing HR Best Practices.
You are likely to be a hands-on HR generalist who has a sound knowledge of HR best practices and a track record of delivery.
You will be able to demonstrate a coaching style and a strong sense of commitment, team work and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities include:
Being the first point of contact for all managers in theUSManaging the regulatory requirements in the States where we have employeesProviding relevant analytics and ad hoc as requestedDriving and supporting the recruitment and onboarding processSupporting and driving the process of regional benchmarking exercises, salary reviews, bonus and commission calculations and paymentsOwning the geographic specific HR agenda and calendar of HR activities;Working in partnership with Line Mangers (LM) to drive the HR policies in a consistent and professional manner including; performance management, ranking, resourcing;Advising key stakeholders within the business on HR and employment law issues such as performance management, sickness management, grievance and disciplinary issuesSecondary support to US employees as requiredRequired:
Maturity to deal with sensitive situations with professionalism, tact and diplomacyWill have strong organizational skills and sees work through to its conclusion.
The ability to work autonomously, reviewing your work on a regular basis and consistently meeting your objectives Ability to provide both verbal and written information clearly, succinctly and persuasively.
Coach Management to aid their proactive resolution of ad hoc people management issuesExperience of engaging with supplier on a variety of benefit programsAttention to detail and the ability to multi task.
Working knowledge ofUSemployment legislation and issues; An interest and willingness to keep current with all required legislationHigh computer literacy with exposure to an HR system and intermediate level Excel and WordExperience of delivering routine daily/weekly/monthly reporting and basic to intermediate ad hoc data requestsDesirable skills:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
