Registered Nurse - SALSA RN

Maxim is seeking an RN to fill a Supervisor of Assisted Living position. The requirements for the position are as follows: a bachelors degree in nursing and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Home Care setting.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
(A) coordinating and managing all nursing and assisted living aide services rendered to clients by direct service staff under his or her supervision;
(B) supervising assigned nursing personnel and assisted living aides in the delivery of nursing services and assistance with the provision of activities
of daily living;
(C) ensuring the evaluation of the clinical competence of assigned nursing personnel and assisted living aides;
(D) participating in or developing all agency objectives, standards of care, policies and procedures concerning nursing services and the provision of
assistance with activities of daily living;
(E) participating in direct service staff recruitment, selection, orientation and in-service education;
(F) participating in program planning, budgeting and evaluating activities related to the clinical services provided by the agency;
(G) providing weekly reports to the service coordinator regarding any problems associated with the provision of the core services, or any
problems or concerns associated with the managed residential community or the assisted living services agency, summaries of which
shall be provided to the governing authority in accordance with the schedule established by the governing authority; and
(H) providing monthly reports to the service coordinator regarding statistical
data including the number of clients served and services provided, summaries of which shall be provided to the governing authority in accordance with the schedule established by the governing authority.

The Registered Nurse, as a professional practitioner employed by Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc., assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision. The nurse demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. Consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
o Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
o Performs focused interview to identify specific patients needs.
o Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition.
o Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
o Documents the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.
o Identifies and prioritizes actions based upon patient care requirements.
o Monitors consistency between patient plan of care and actions of medical staff.
o Performs interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and the hospital policies and patient care outcome standard.
o Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient environment.
o Initiates and evaluates patient and/or family education.
o Revises the plan of care according to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care, and effective/ineffective nursing interventions.
o Documents patient's response to nursing and other interventions.
o Uses clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs of an assigned unit/floor including establishing priorities.
o Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
o Participates in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications with the chosen facility.
o Supports professional practice by observing the following: Uses knowledge and practices in accordance with 1) the Nurse Practice Act; 2) Standards of Nursing Practice; 3) Standards of Patient Care; 4)JCAHO, state and local laws; 5) Patient's Bill of Rights; and 6) Maxim Healthcare, nursing and client hospital policies.
o Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
o Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices.
o Full command, verbal and written, of the English language.
o Current Health Certificate (per facility contract or state regulation).
o Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
o One year prior professional nursing experience preferred.
o Current BLS card.
o Successful completion of screening tests for the clinical specialty area(s) in which the RN practices with a score of 80% or greater
o Maxim background screening
Physical/Work Environment Requirements:
o May work at off-site facility/ client site
o May be exposed to blood-borne pathogens, chemotherapeutic and toxic chemicals

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
